When you work 65 hours or more PER MONTH.
A contributor must have worked at least 13 weeks (91 days) in the year before the date of application
A contributor who had a miscarriage/stillbirth in the 3rd trimester is also now entitled to Maternity benefits for 121 days
While you are on maternity leave and your employer is contributing less than 100% of your salary.
Within 12 months of baby’s date of birth.
If the following was initiated by your Employer: Retrenchment, Retirement, Termination of Contract, Dismissal.
Within 12 months of the date you became unemployed.
If you lose part of their income owing/due to reduced working times.
A Contributor is entitled to an Illness/Disability claim, if they are ill for more than 7 days.
You work less than 24 hours per month.
You are earning commission only.
You are a Member of Parliament, Cabinet, Minister or a Municipal Councillor.
